Privacy & Cookie Policy
We keep it simple: no tracking pixels, no third-party ad networks, no per-user profiles. Here is exactly what we do and do not do.
Cookies we set
We set only two first-party cookies:
| Name | Purpose | Duration | HttpOnly |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookie-consent | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics. | 1 year | No |
| admin-session | Keeps admin users logged in to the back-office dashboard (/admin). Only set when you sign in as an admin. | Session / 7 days | Yes |
We do not set Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking cookies.
What we track
When you click Accept in the cookie banner, we record a single anonymous page-view counter per day. Each counter stores:
- Page path — e.g.
/products/acb-series - Calendar day (UTC) — grouped by day, not time-of-day.
- Referrer origin — domain only (e.g. google.com), never the full URL.
- Browser type bucket — “mobile”, “bot”, or “desktop” — derived from the user-agent string then immediately discarded.
When you search the site, we log the search term and a result count per day to help us improve the product catalogue. Search terms are stored anonymously — the log contains the route, the normalised term, and the day bucket only. No per-visitor identifier is recorded, and this happens regardless of your cookie-consent choice.
We capture visitor IP addresses for security purposes — rate-limiting form submissions, blocking abusive traffic, and detecting bots. IP addresses are not used for analytics profiling or marketing.
What we never track
- Your name, email, or any personally identifiable information (in analytics).
- A per-visitor or per-session identifier — there is no user profile.
- Cross-site tracking or fingerprinting.
- Third-party advertising networks or retargeting pixels.
How to opt out or change your choice
Click Decline in the cookie banner at any time. You can also revisit your choice later via the “Cookie preferences” link in the site footer — clicking it clears your saved choice and re-shows the banner.
If analytics are declined, no page-view beacon is fired. Search queries are logged anonymously regardless of your consent choice (see above). The rest of the site works exactly the same.
You can also delete the cookie-consent cookie directly in your browser's developer tools or privacy settings.
